Repair Warranty

Limited Repair Warranty – Spindle Systems (UK) Ltd

1. Coverage

Spindle Systems (UK) Ltd (“the Company”) warrants that the repair services provided, and any replacement components supplied during the repair, shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 180 days from the date of dispatch from our facility.

This warranty applies only to the specific components repaired or replaced by the Company and only if the spindle is used under normal operating conditions, as specified by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM).

2. What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not apply to faults, failures, or damages resulting from:

  • Collision, tool crashes, or machine accidents
  • Misuse, abuse, or overloading of the spindle
  • Operation beyond manufacturer specifications (e.g. over speeding, incorrect tooling, poor balancing)
  • Contamination by coolant, dirt, or foreign materials
  • Improper lubrication or lack of maintenance
  • Incorrect installation, misalignment, or use of damaged mating components, ie worn tools
  • Electrical faults or power surges
  • Acts of God (fire, flood, lightning, etc.)
  • Normal wear and tear

3. Conditions for Warranty Validity

To be eligible for warranty coverage:

  • The spindle must be installed by Spindle Systems (UK) Ltd and operated in accordance with OEM guidelines.
  • The customer must notify Spindle Systems (UK) Ltd in writing of any warranty claim within the warranty period.
  • The spindle must be returned to our facility for inspection, at the customer’s cost, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • The spindle must not have been opened, disassembled, or modified by any third party since our repair.

4. Inspection and Determination

All returned units will be inspected by Spindle Systems (UK) Ltd to determine cause of failure.

  • If the fault is confirmed to be due to defective workmanship or parts supplied by us, the Company will, at its discretion, repair or replace the faulty components free of charge.
  • If the failure is deemed to fall outside the scope of this warranty (see Section 2), the customer will be notified and provided with a quotation for repair. A standard inspection fee may apply.

The Company’s decision on the cause of failure is final and binding.

5. Limitations of Liability

  • The liability of Spindle Systems (UK) Ltd under this warranty is strictly limited to the cost of re-repair or replacement of defective parts as determined under this agreement.
  • The Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to downtime, production losses, or loss of profits.
  • Total liability under this warranty shall not exceed the invoiced value of the original repair.

6. Optional Paid Coverage

Customers may purchase optional Extended Warranty or Collision Cover Plans. These are subject to separate terms and conditions, and must be agreed in writing prior to shipment of the repaired unit.

7. Jurisdiction

This warranty and any dispute arising from it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
